Since the start in 2001, Inter IKEA Centre Group has developed 30 centres. During that time we have learned a lot and we bring this wealth of experience and a long-term approach to the development of every new project. 
 

  • Development decisions are based on comprehensive market analyses conducted in cooperation with IKEA Group’s research department, national statistics agencies as well as focus group interviews. 
  • Through dialogue with our tenants already during the development phase, we can build centres that meet specific retailer needsas well as suit the need and desire of the local market. This is part of our ongoing commitment to improvement that continues with the tenant satisfaction survey done by our local management teams.
  • By sharing knowledge we can create a fantastic tenant mix by combining the best of international retailers with the best of local brands.

Working closely together with IKEA means actively building on the IKEA tradition of genuine family focus. More than half of the visitors in our centres have children. Catering to the needs of the entire family is a natural part of our success, creating safe, easy and fun shopping. Our centres have something for everyone and value to all.


We build modern shopping destinations with a Scandinavian touch; simple and functional design, clean lines and smooth ergonomic language. Using wood, plastics, aluminium or steel while still captivating the natural aspect of Nordic nature. The design is playful, warm and friendly and has a pinch of humour, which is reflected in forms and colours.

  • Throughout the development process, we take every opportunity to create family-friendly facilities like entertainment areas, restaurants and children’s activities to guarantee our centres are as attractive and enjoyable as possible.
  • No stone is left unturned as we seek to deliver safer, more comfortable and easier to navigate centres. This creates the platform for a more dynamic retail environment.
  • We develop centres with a view to managing them. This means we have a unique long-term perspective that meets the needs of both our retail partners and our shoppers.


Over the next couple of years we will add on 6 new locations to our product portfolio and have yet another 15 projects coming up.
